Over 20 gardens were entered into this year’s Melplash Show Garden Competition.  All the gardens were judged on 11/12 June by last year’s winners Mrs Pat Fowler and Mrs Geraldine Chubb.

Mr Clifford Pitcher, Section Chairman, congratulates the winners and praises all those that entered.  He said: ’I would like to thank all the participants for their hard work in presenting their gardens to such a high standard.  As usual, they have had to contend with unpredictable spring weather which makes gardening a continual challenge.  My thanks also go to the judges who gave up their time and took on the difficult task of choosing the winners.    We all enjoyed immensely the opportunity to visit so many splendid gardens, as well as the chance to pick up a few tips on the way!!”   The prizes will be awarded at this year’s Melplash Show being held on Thursday 21st August 2008.
