Potential Competition Horse In Hand

POTENTIAL COMPETITION HORSE IN-HAND CLASSES 

Ring 4 - 8.30am 

Entries Close:  18th July 2008 

Entry Fee:  Member £12, Non-Member £14

Prize Money:  1st £17; 2nd £15; 3rd £12 

Classes 10 and 11 may be amalgamated if there are insufficient entries. 

Judge:  Mr S Somers, Sudbury, Suffolk 

These classes, 9 - 14 are NOT affiliated to Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain

Brood mares must have their own foat at foot.  Mares which have not yet foaled or that have lost their foals are not eligible to enter. Foals must be the progeny of a mare entered in the previous class.  All foals must be at least three weeks old on the day of the Show.  The name of the sire of all foals must be inserted on the entry form. 

Class  

9          Yearling, Filly, Colt or Gelding foaled in 2007  

10         Two year old Filly, Colt or Gelding foaled in 2006.  

11         Three year old Filly Colt or Gelding, foaled in 2005 

12         The Best Local  Potential Competition Horse, foaled in or after 2005, bred and owned by exhibitor (see Rule 6).   

13         Hunter Brood Mare with own foal at foot.  

14         Hunter Foal, bred and owned by the exhibitor.   Foal progeny of mare from Class 13.    

C1 -      Perpetual Challenge Cup given by the Family of the late Mrs. E. M. Mulliner, for the Champion.   First and second prize winners in Classes 9 to 13 are eligible.

S1 -      The Percy Crumpler Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by Mrs. Percy Crumpler, for the Best Brood Mare in Class 13.

S2 -      The Lt. Col A.B.Coote Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by Mrs. D.M. Hurndall-Waldron for the Best Foal in Class 14.

S3 -      The Charles Coate Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by the family, for the Best Local Led Potential Competition Horse. 

Charles Upham, Esq.,  offers a £50 service voucher to the highest placed mare who has not already won a voucher in the current year in the small, light and heavy weight sections of the Hunter Brood Mare sections at the three local County Shows and certain of the one day shows.   This voucher can be used against a stud fee for any one of the stallions standing at Langaller Farm during the current or subsequent season.
