Class

15         Lightweight Cob.   Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying up to 14      stone, exceeding 14.2 h.h. (148cms) and not exceeding 15.1h.h. (155cms).  

16         Heavyweight Cob.   Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, capable of carrying more         than 14 stone, exceeding 14.2 h.h. (148cms) and not exceeding 15.1 hh. (155 cms).   

Entries in Classes 15 and 16 are held under the rules and jurisdiction of the British Show Horse Association who present Award of Merit, Young Rider and Amateur rosettes to 8th place.   Only one rosette in any one category may be presented in any one season.   Entries are confined to registered horses to be owned and ridden by members of the BSHA.  The three highest placed in Classes 15 & 16 will qualify to compete in the Classic Supreme Cob classes at the National Championship Show in September.
 
Classes 15 & 16 are HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW QUALIFIERS - Horse of the Year Show,8th - 12th October 2008 when the First in each weight class will qualify. If the First has alreadyqualified, the Second will go forward and so forth down to 5th place. There will be a Horse of theYear Show charge of £9.50 from each horse/pony entering these qualifying Classes.  

 A Special Rosette, sponsored by Blue Chip Horse Feeds Ltd will be presented to the Highest Placed amateur home produced exhibit in Classes 15 & 16. 

CHAMPIONSHIP - The judging of the Cob Championship will take place after Class 16. 

This Show is a Qualifier for The Blue Chip & IDHS(GB) £2000 Challenge The highest placed horse (not already qualified) in each of the above classes (15 & 16) will qualifiy for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) Championship, which will be held at the IDSH (BG) Annual Breed Show.  NB:  A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered.   Each Qualifier will receive a rosette and £10 voucher from Blue Chip.  IN THE FINAL, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 in prize money plus a Trophy and a Blue Chip rug, the Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each. In addition, £100 prize money plus a Trophy will be awarded to the highest placed Pure Bred and the highest placed 15.2hh and Under will receive a Trophy and £50.
