MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND PONIES - RIDDEN

Ring 2 - 8am

Entry Fee:  Member £12, Non-Member £14
Prize Money:  1st £17; 2nd £15; 3rd £12

Judge:  Mr M Fry, Southhampton, Hants

All Mountain & Moorland Ponies to be registered in the respective Stud Books.  Name of Breed and Registered Number to be put on Entry Forms.

NPS/www.horsequest.co.uk Mountain & Moorland Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship.  A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered Pony in the Mountain & Moorland In Hand section.  (See NPS Silver Medal Championship Conditions in this Schedule.

NPS Silver Medal Championship Conditions.  The Silver Medal Championships are judged under the Rules of the NPS.  NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded where the Owner of the champion pony is a Member of the NPS.  A valid membership card must be in the Rider's/Handler's possession on entering the ring and be produced in the ring.  If the Owner of the Champion pony is not a Member, or the Owner's membership card cannot be produced in the ring, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided the Owner is a Member of the NPS and the membership card is produced in the ring.  If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the Qualification Card goes to the Reserve Champion provided the Owner of that pony is a Member of the NPS.  The Silver Medal Rosette and Qualification Card can only be awarded to the Champion or Reserve Champion.

Class

27      Mountain & Moorland.  Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A & B, 4 yrs old  and over, Mare, Gelding or Stallion.  Rider any age, with the exception of Riders of  Stallions who must have attained their 11th birthday before 1st January of the current year.

36      Mountain & Moorland.  New Forest, Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, Welsh Section C & D, 4 yrs old and over, Mare, Gelding or Stallion.  Rider any age, with the exception of riders of Stallions who must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January of the current year.

Ring 4 - NOT before 10.30am

Judge: Mr M Fry, Southampton, Hants

All ponies must be registered with their respective Breed Societies, and shown in the name under which they have been registered.  Name of Breed & Registered Number must be put on Entry Forms.  Brood Mares must be 4 years old or over, and foals accompanying Mares must be at least 4 weeks old on Show Day.

NPS Mountain & Moorland In Hand Kilmannan Stud Silver Medal Rosette Championship  A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered Pony in the Mountain & Moorland In Hand section.  The Sponsor's Rosette is also awarded to the Pony receiving the Qualification Card.  (See NPS Silver Medal Championship Conditions in this Schedule.

29     Mountain & Moorland.  Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A & B, Mares,  Geldings, 3 yrs old and under, Yearling Colts, Fillies and Geldings.

30     Mountain & Moorland.  New Forest, Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, Welsh Section  C & D, mares, Geldings 3 yrs old and under, Yearling Colts, Fillies and Geldings.

31     Mountain & Moorland.  Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A & B, Mares,  Geldings, 4 yrs old or over.

32     Mountain & Moorland.  New Forest, Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, Welsh
Section C & D, mares, Geldings 4 yrs old and over.

The judging of the Mountain & Moorland Championship will follow Class 32

S13b   NPS Mountain & Moorland In Hand Kilmannan Stud Silver Medal Rosette -  Champion & Reserve Champion.
S14    The Sundae Perpetual Cup, presented by Mr & Mrs KM Lockyer for the Best Pony  in the Welsh Section A, and registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Society from  Class 37.
S15    The Melplash Agricultural Society offers Special Rosettes to the Best Yearling in  Classes 37 & 38.

The Willow Cup kindly presented by Mr & Mrs DG Mannings will be presented to the Best Exmoor.

S16 Special Breed Rosettes
The Dartmoor Pony Society offers a Special Rosette for the Best Registered Dartmoor Pony from Classes 37 & 39.  The Winner must be a member of the Society and produce Membership Card at the time of the award.
The British Connemara Pony Society offers a Special Rosette for the Best Registered Connemara pony in Class 38.
The British Fell Pony Society offers a Special Rosette for the Best Registered Fell Pony in Classes 28, 36 and 38.
The New Forest Pony Breeding Society offers a Special Rosette for the Best Registered New Forest Pony in Class 38.
The Shetland Pony Stud Book Society offers a Special Rosette for the Best Registered Shetland Pony from Class 37 and a Special Rosette for the Best Miniature Shetland Pony in all heights SP classes.  To qualify for the MSPA ponies must be registered Shetlands up to 34" high and their owners must be a Member of the MSP Association.
The Wessex Shetland Pony Society offers a Special Rosette for the highest placed Member in each of the In-Hand and Ridden Shetland Classes as indicated in the Schedule.  Members to be wearing a WSPS Badge to qualify.  For Group details telephone:  Jane Rendall 01458 272100.
The Welsh Pony & Cob Society offers Special Rosettes in the Pony Section.  Name of breed and Registered Number to be shown on entry form for inclusion in the Catalogue.
The Exmoor Pony Society offers a Special Rosette for the Best Registered Exmoor Pony in Class 37.
