Over 22 Young Farmers from Beaminster, Marshwood Vale, Wells & Glastonbury and Wedmore Clubs competed in this year’s Melplash Agricultural Society Stock Judging competition, held at Pilsdon Dairy Farm by kind permission of the Bugler Family. This annual Dairy Stock Judging competition was sponsored by The Kingfisher Veterinary Practice, Crewkerne, and judged by Mr Stephen Green from Salisbury.
Said Anita Ford, Melplash Agricultural Society’s Secretary. ‘’Congratulation to all the winners, it really was good to see so many juniors competing this year. The evening was a great success and a big thank you must go to Roland & Heather Bugler and Simon Bugler & Katherine Streatfeild for a very good venue, good cattle and delicious food. Special thanks also to our generous sponsors, The Kingfisher Veterinary Practice, our judge, Stephen Green and Mark Roberts who organised the evening with Kevin & Kath Goodfellow.” The teams were asked to judge four dairy cattle, and all marks were considered for the team and individual prizes.
